Devlog #6: Pixels and Monsters


Alrighty, another week another devlog :D

First up, the quick update; the dungeon sprite sheet. I've been slowly chipping away with all the different props and adjusting the already existing tiles. I've made the floors darker to get some contrast with the walls, along with a few little props to scatter around the dungeon. It's still a work in progress but we are getting there.


Now the fun stuff, the monsters. I have come to realise yall have met the main team, but don't know our big bad enemies, so let me introduce you to some of the newest monsters I've been working on.

The newest completed enemy I've got is the Blob Morph, a blobfish like creature found in the later levels of the game. A slippery little fellow who's hard to hit and hits hard, with its own special attack.

He really is just a little guy.

And with one the final monsters of the game I am working on, we have the Worm Walker. In the early levels of the game, you can run into these not so little worms. 

Tough for a starting enemy alone, but what would happen if that worm found its way into a human host body?

Well you get this guy.

Doesn't he look great? I am still in the process of colouring the final sprites but once this set is finished, there's only one more monster to do. But that's this weeks update from me, stay tuned for more dungeons and hoarding :D
